Crochet & Amigurumi

My mom taught me how to crochet when I was a teenager and ever since then I have been experimenting with crocheting soft sculptures and fun wearable pieces.  I get very bored doing standard designs so when tasked with making things such as hats, scarves, and blankets I always like to think of a way to make them unique and unconventional.  Most of my amigurumi (crochet/knitted toys) are completely freehand and even those that don't only loosely follow a general pattern I've designed since I often use the same sort of shapes or sometimes want to make multiples.  Other than crocheting an army of mermaids, I don't typically like to make the same things over and over again.  When I do make multiples I always like to give each ones something a little unique to set it apart.

Art & Jewelry

I started making jewelry when I was a teen and have recently picked it up again.  My designs are generally very simple in structure but usually very colorful and sparkly.  When photographing my most recent jewelry pieces I decided to use art from my college portfolio as a backdrop.
